Etablissements Antoine Massoud (EAM), a supplier of imported foods and beverages, and Medi, importer and distributor of Italian foods and spirits, announced that they have entered a joint venture.

The newly-established company, called ‘EAMEDI’, will work to distribute imported Italian products, foods and spirits, to the local market.

Medi has a portfolio of around 40 Italian brands. EAM will offer sales and client servicing to carry these brands to new retail spaces.

"The outstanding logistical infrastructure and clientele base of EAM, in combination with our expertise of Italy and Italian products, are bound to strengthen our leadership in the Lebanese market," said Michel Ferneini, the Chairman and General Manager of Medi.

Anthony Massoud, General Manager of EAM, said "Expanding our F&B portfolio with new and superior products is a key priority in our business strategy. When it comes to Italian, Medi has proven brilliant know-how in selecting the finest products."

EAMEDI products will be available in key supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and cafés starting December 2011.
