Solidere unveils plan to introduce high-speed Internet to Beirut Central District
Solidere announced a plan to provide the Beirut’s Central District with a fiber optic broadband network.
The infrastructure could provide internet of speed of up to 100 megabytes per second (Mbps) to companies and residents of the BCD.
The announcement was made during ‘Smart Connected Life in BCD’, an exhibition organized in cooperation with Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Orange, and Activemania.
Solidere said that the BCD will also see the first ‘cloud services’ technology in Lebanon, which includes Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and secure Data Backup service.
