Home appliances retailer Abed Tahan will be opening a new branch in Jnah in January. The area of the new outlet totals 4,000 square meters, parted into three floors. The amount invested reached up to $8 million.

Abed Tahan is pursuing a strategic expansion plan, according to its CEO Toufic Tahan. “We hope to expand our geographic reach to all regions,” he said. The retailer will be opening its eighth outlet in mid-2013 through a 2,000 square-meter showroom in Saida.

Tahan said the company aims to shift its business model from a family business to a corporation. “We are now seeking investors, and we will make the shift once we find the appropriate ones,” he said.

To-date, Abed Tahan has outlets in Mazraa, Mkalles, Tripoli, Tayouneh, and Ghoubairi, in addition to its ‘Home Plaza’ store in Jnah. “We have recently launched our own eco-friendly LED lighting line,” Tahan said. EcoLED is currently available for corporate clients. It will be available to individual consumers and households early in 2013. “We are moving ahead slowly but surely,” said Tahan.
