The Lebanese Army has recently launched ‘LAF Shield’, its official smartphone app, created by local developers Apps2you.

The app allows reporting suspicious objects and vehicles by video, photographs, audio, or written texts. It also allows reporting criminals’ hideouts, kidnapping victims’ locations, missing persons, and any relevant security incident.

LAF Shield is available on both Android and Apple devices. It supplies users with ‘Push Notifications’ and instant messaging, and is linked directly to the Army Command for handling cases of extreme danger such as kidnapping attempts or hostage situations.
