Resort coming to Jiyeh
First phase ready next month

Scylax, a resort in Jiyeh, is currently under construction. Its first phase will be finished and ready for business next month. The initial investment exceeds $5 million.

The project is owned by Ahmad Harb.

The resort sits on a 6,500 square meter land plot. The architect is ID Beirut.

Scylax will include six chalets, two restaurants, a SPA, two swimming pools, and a pool bar. It will also have 20 Jacuzzis and seven bungalows. All these facilities will be accessible by visitors this summer season.

The second phase of the project will be ready by summer 2015. Three large VIP chalets, will be constructed. By next year, the resort will have a total of nine chalets.

The Southern coast has been developing since early 2000, with several beach projects including Janna sur Mer, La Guava, Lazy B, Pangea, and others that have become popular beach destinations.

The international hotel chain, Golden Tulip, has undertaken the management of the revamped Jiyeh Marina Resort.

Nikki Beach, brought by Zardman, an international beach chain, which was also planned, was postponed.
