The Ministry of Telecommunications has signed a collaboration protocol with Touch and Alfa to launch new One-Stop-Shops to provide landline and mobile phone call services for both operators through Ogero points of sale (POS).

This is in line with the ministry’s strategy to improve telecom services by placing them within reach of a wider scope of users across the country and at a lower cost. The ministry said that both mobile operators require additional POS to be able to deliver mobile telephony services to their subscribers, and the new protocol will help expand both companies’ reach by revamping existing POS and adding new ones.

Ogero has over 50 POS serving various regions and providing landline telephony services, along with DSL and billing services.

The first phase of the project includes rehabilitating POS in Batroun, Antelias, Aley, Saida, Mazraa, Jdeideh, Badaro, and Chekka. The second phase will establish new POS at Liban Post centers in Elissar, at the Airport, Adliyeh, Ras El Nabeh, Tripoli- El Tel, Tripoli – El Bohsas, Hermel, Chtaura, and Riad El Solh. The third phase will include revamping the remaining POS, in Tripoli- Mina, Bir Hassan, Amioun, Mraijeh, Jbeil, Jezzine, Halba, Nabatiyeh, Ashrafieh, Zahle, Tannourine, Rashaya, Saghbine, Baalbeck, Bent Jbeil, Bcharri, Zgharta, and Kobeyat.
