The low-calorie, German drinks brand Meito, opened its first local outlet, last Saturday in the Bayview Hotel, in Ain El Mreisseh. Meito is known for its Bubble Tea, a low-calorie drink brand.

The master franchisee of Meito in the Middle East and the Gulf is the newly established, locally based, RNR Company. RNR works in the construction and food and beverage industries and is owned by the Baalbaki family, with Rami Baalbaki as its general manager.

Following a complete rebranding, Meito International recently unveiled a new concept together with RNR. “We have been working hard and hand-in-hand with RNR over the last five months to pave the way for this exciting growth opportunity. The rebranding included the new store design as well as the extension of the whole product range,” said Oliver Benjamin Goetze, Managing Director of Meito International.

The outlet is one of seven locations set to open locally in the next two years, according to Goetze. Hamra, Verdun, The Spot Choueifat Mall, among others may be selected as potential outlets. “We are currently negotiating potential openings with ABC and eyeing different opportunities in local malls,” he said.

RNR will be implementing a five-year expansion plan of Meito in the Middle East and Gulf region.
