The Ministry of Tourism has launched a group of "Rural Tourism Activities Calendars" for 2015, in a project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The printed calendars, or maps, are of Jezzine, Zahleh, Rachaya, Hadath El-Jebbeh, Tannourine, Ehmej, and Douma. They showcase events and activities that take place in these areas throughout the year and provide information about accommodations, restaurants and resorts. The ministry aims to extend this concept to 20 additional regions.

The calendars are intended to promote these cities and increase tourist awareness of their activities. Nada Sardouk, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, said: “The calendars of events will develop rural tourism in all regions.”

They will be distributed in the ministry’s offices in Saida, Jbeil, Jeitta, Batroun, Tripoli, Niha, Baalbek, Zahle, and Hamra, and at the airport, at travel and tourism agencies.
