Masking tape factory opens in Jbeil
Share
Saber Industrial, a manufacturer of adhesives and sealants, opened a factory for masking tape in Edde, Jbeil, this month.
Michel Saber, General Manager, said: “There is a huge demand for these products from local and regional building contractors.”
The $3 million factory has a built-up area of 1,200 square meters. It is equipped with fully automated machines imported from Germany. Saber said that out of the staff hired for the new facility, two are mechanical engineers.
The factory’s production capacity is one ton of masking tape, per day, which is equal to the estimated local consumption. Saber said that this product used to be imported from China.
Saber Industrial will export half of its masking tape production to Libya, Egypt and Iraq.
