The Industrial Research Institute (IRI) opened today an office at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIAB).

“The IRI office will aid the chamber’s members in developing their businesses and be more compatible,” said Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of CCIAB. He said that IRI was the incubator for several projects that supported industrial initiatives and contributed in the industrial revolution. It also helped in banning the entrance of goods that do not comply with international standards. IRI can offer technical services for all economic sectors.

Bassam Fren, Chairman of IRI, said: “We aimed to open the office in the chamber, as the private sector always needs the public sector’s support.” He said that IRI will always work on modernizing the industry, activating trade, and controlling the quality to ensure safety.
