The Canadian chain Paramount Fine Foods, owned by local businessman Mohamad Fakih, has expanded to the local market. The soft opening for the first shop is June, 30

The expansion includes restaurants and the butcher shops, which will be opened gradually. The first butcher shop and restaurant will open in Jnah, including a central kitchen.

Other outlets will open in Verdun, Hadi Nasrallah Highway in the Southern Suburbs, Hazmieh, and Sodeco. As well as selling meat, chicken, and cold cuts, the butcher shops will also sell precooked food and dairy products.

We want Lebanon to be the center of our business in the Middle East, so franchisees from the Gulf market have to communicate with the head office to purchase a franchise," said Fakih

The company is ready to sell franchises. Paramount is targeting the Halal niche market, with a completely alcohol free menu and environment.

The spaces of the restaurants are 650 and 350 square meters, and can be snack outlets or kiosks.

Investment in the expansion is estimated at $20 million.

Paramount Fine Foods have a chain of restaurants in Canada comprising 60 restaurants. It currently has expansion plans in the United States and Pakistan. It is also interested in growing in other Middle Eastern countries.
