Adonis Valley, an organic food producer, opened early this month a specialized processing facility in Fatri, Jbeil.

The 8,000 square meter (m2) land has been planted with organic fruits and vegetables and includes a 1000 m2 factory.

Investment in the project reached one million dollars.

Adonis Valley produces seven items using organic tomatoes, including tomato pastes with several flavors and ketchup, as well as pickles and apple, apricot, and strawberry juices.

Fady Daw, major shareholder, said that he has signed contracts with local farmers to collect their harvests.

“We train the farmers how to grow organic products, give them certification of working to international standards, and then we purchase their harvests.”

Adonis Valley facility uses around 50 tons of tomatoes, and five tons of apples per year. Around 20 percent of production is exported to the Gulf region.
