Excavation works have been launched as part of the construction of a three-star hotel in Barouk, Shouf, to be completed in 2020.

Malek Birak, the owner of the hotel, will invest $2 million in the project, excluding the cost of the land.

The project will have a total built-up area of 5,000 square meters (m2), including five floors, two of which are underground.

The hotel will comprise 40 rooms, as well as other features such as spa and swimming pools.

“Touristic activity is growing tremendously in the Shouf, and there is more need for hotel rooms,” said Birak.

Birak also operates an amusement park in Barouk.
