Technica, a manufacturer of innovative automation solutions for the dairy, beverage, and other industries, will expand its factory in Bikfaya to produce larger production lines.
Operations in the new extension will start in early 2016.
The $2 million investment will increase the space of the company by 40 percent to 6,500 square meters. The expansion will create more than 40 full time jobs.
“We are looking to double the turnover of the company and the number of customers by 2020,” said Tony Haddad, General Manager of Technica.
The production capacity of the factory is 40 production lines, per year. The expansion will increase it by 20 percent, allowing the company to produce larger production lines, according to Nathalie Makhlouf, marketing coordinator.
The company supplies a wide range of products to about 40 factories in the local market, such as Coca Cola, Nestlé, Fantasia, Cortas, Mimosa, Almaza, Soliver, Tannourine, among others.
Technica exports its products to 270 customers in 31 countries in Europe, Africa and Arab countries.
