The Ministry of Health announced that no new cases of people infected with the coronavirus were registered in the past 24 hours.
Out of 677 total cases identified since the beginning of the outbreak, 102 recoveries were recorded. The death rate is currently at 3.1 percent (21 people died from complications of the virus). The number of active cases is now at 544 individuals.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned countries experiencing a decline in infections not to ease restrictions placed on residents.
“The easing of internal restrictions by some countries does not mean the end of the pandemic crisis in those countries,” according to WHO.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director of WHO, said that the worst spread of the virus is yet to come.
