A seasoned senior government executive

The Council of Minister has appointed Ahmad Oueidat as Director General of OGERO, the public telecom service provider.

Oueidat is a seasoned senior government executive and public policy expert with nearly three decades of experience across the public sector and private consulting. Prior to his appointment, he was attached to the Prime Minister’s Council since 2006, playing a critical role in resource planning, strategic governance, and in managing high-pressure situations at the heart of state operations. From 2008 to 2021, he also served as Senior Ministerial Advisor at the Ministry of Energy and Water under a mandate from the Council of Ministers.

Oueidat is the co-founder of ECS Consulting, a Beirut-based firm established in 1996, which offers advisory services in administrative reform, strategic planning, and capacity building.

His academic background encompasses distinguished training from top French institutions including a Diplôme international d’administration publique from École Nationale d'Administration (ENA). He also holds a certificate in U.S. Public Policy: Social, Economic, and Foreign Policies from Harvard Kennedy School.
