Bank Audi Group said its chairman and board member Samir Hanna has stepped down and that the board of directors has elected Sherine Audi as the new chairperson.

She has been a non-executive board member since April 2017 and chaired the board of Bank Audi France since 2022. She is the daughter of late Raymond Audi who was the chairman of Bank Audi Group before the appointment of Hanna in 2017, and one of the bank's founders.

Bank Audi said in a statement: “Following nearly four decades of experience in senior executive roles at Bank Audi France, she brings with her a strong sense of sound governance and leadership.”

Hanna, now around 80 years old, has worked at the bank for more than six decades. He was the first person outside the Audi family to be named chairman. He was elected board member in 1990 and appointed General Manager in 1986.
